If you are a water person but do not want to get sand in your suit, not to worry. Step aboard one of the Charlotte Harbor cruises. You can spend a day cruising the harbor seeing the city from the perspective of the water enjoying breakfast, lunch or just having a snack while sipping cocktails and champagne. Or come just before sunset for a night you won’t forget. You can make this a pre-dinner boat ride with gourmet snacks and delicious beverages or spend an evening aboard with dinner under the stars. Once you are back on land, you are ready to continue your night in Charleston.

Getting to Charleston is easy. American Airlines, Jet Blue and Delta regularly have flights and the Charleston International Airtport is only 12 miles from downtown Charleston. There is also an Amtrak station in town.

There are many places to stay depending on your budget. Many of the hotels are in historic buildings like The Wentworth an 1886 landmark and 86 Canon is another historical building from the 1800 that has been restored. Tto save some money for the partying and seeing Charleston there are some very nice budget hotels just outside downtown. The Holiday Inn Riverview is located just 5 minutes from town and The Residence Inn by Marriot Downtown/Riverview and Spring Hill Suites by Marriot Downtown/Riverview are on the other side of Ashley River. All three of these hotels may be less pricy but they still have large rooms for everyone. Also all of these hotels have shuttles leaving for downtown.
